Welcome to The Scribble Trust; we are a charity dedicated to the support of new and emerging music artists in Scotland.
We provide extensive support by way of mentoring, tuition, workshops and financial assistance.
We have a strong belief in creativity; creativity is a vital element in all aspects of our community, our society and our economy. We’re here to nurture and develop skills of new artists in Scotland. We support all artists aged 18 and upwards; creativity and talent is not age restrictive therefore we have no upper limit on age on those we support.
We offer a creative, hard working and supportive environment to our clients helping them realise and develop all aspects of their skills into a successful independent career.
With support from a small pool of talented and dedicated individuals as well as support from the professional industry, The Scribble Trust offers a comprehensive and exceptional environment. We’ll initially be starting with four award recipients annually who will each receive a full grant of £15,000 to spend on the development of their career. We’ll also provide one to one mentoring and music classes as well as studio time and experience in the professional industry. We’ll also provide a week in residence at Real World Studios near Bath founded by Peter Gabriel on a special Producer Camp working with the team that produces for some of the worlds top artists and bands including Peter Gabriel himself. Applications for 2026 will be available from September 2025 with interviews taking place in Edinburgh and Glasgow in November 2025.
We officially launch in January 2026. We’ve completed our application to the Office Of The Scottish Charity Regulator and should be approved as a charity based in Scotland very soon. We have a team or trustees in place and will be seeking to appoint a CEO shortly.
